Kasey’s “Garden Glam” wedding at Castaway was a dazzling affair!  I thoroughly enjoyed the ride!Cassandra Kennedy Beauty + You Look Nice Today PhotographyHer shorter hair was a challenging puzzle that, when finally “solved” and formed into a romantic updo, we both rejoiced in its beauty.  She is not a big makeup wearer so we went for lovely, natural makeup that would give off a radiant glow.getting readyThere was a lot of cracking up and trying to stop ourselves but not being able to.  This might be my favorite picture of all time!Behind the ScenesTheir photographer is not only a joy to be around but he is just phenomenal at capturing the light for portraits.  Look at this luminous beauty!bridal portrait by You Look Nice Today PhotographyBride and Bridesmaids getting ready at hotelBride at Sentinel HotelPortraits at Sentinel HotelWedding PortraitsLuxe Event Productions coordinated every detail to perfection.  The black, white, and gold palette mixed with garden greens was so original.  Sleek yet fresh.Castaway wedding, Portland ORLuxe Event ProductionsVoodoo Donuts for weddingswedding centerpiece with succulents and vintage bookswedding formal photos at CastawayMajor reception shenanigans ensued, including singing with the band.  Love it!!!wedding reception singingKasey and Steve, may you continue to enjoy life’s journey together.  I look forward to seeing your future adventures.  You are both absolutely wonderful and I couldn’t be happier for you!  xxxooo ~Cassandra

This was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings I’ve ever been to.  I’m so happy to see it featured on Style Me Pretty.  The bride and her family and friends were delightful as was their incredible wedding venue.  The Colony: St. Johns is definitely one of my new favorite places in Portland to get married.  That morning we had the whole upstairs apartment to relax and get ready in.Cassandra Kennedy Beauty + Style Me PrettyEmily wanted dramatic eyes with copper tones and a relaxed textured updo.  We were all completely swooning when Sarah from The Green Dandelion came with the flowers.  There was a round of applause when the unique rosemary floral crown she made was placed on the bride’s head.Nature inspired wedding NE Portlandfloral crown with rosemaryMargaret Austin Photographyherbal boutonnieresThe groom was incredibly dapper and brought the bride the most beautiful present as a surprise.  Awww….lucky Emily!  She had such a beautiful, unique look that really reflected her own style. As a girl who grew up in the country, this country chic wedding made me feel right at home.  It was bursting with fantastic hand-crafted projects by the bride and her friends and family.  The mint color theme was everywhere, from the bridesmaid dresses to the mason jars.  Corn was grown in the back yard to add to the country ambience.  There were even cows from a nearby field and an old Chevy pickup to complete the picture.  When I arrived at the house that morning, the bride was baking pies!

This is one of my favorite pictures of a groom.  The Brad Paisley song “Waitin’ on a Woman” comes to mind.  After all the hustle and bustle of the morning set up, the bride and groom got a quiet moment to see each other for the first time.  Yep, there were tears.  And happy laughter.

I was so happy to see that Ruffled Blog featured Katie and Luke’s Leftbank Annex wedding.  I was lucky enough to stay with the bridal party for makeup touch-ups so I got to see the stunning venue and reception set up. It was a very clean and urban wedding yet still felt romantic.  Dreamy!  Katie and Luke (as you can see) looked like models and they were very clearly madly in love.  He arrived home from the military just two days before the ceremony so his bride was obviously very glad to have him back.

The day started off with airbrush makeup for the whole bridal party at Hotel Modera.  Eyes were a bit dramatic with neutral and copper tones and the face was peachy and glowy.

Katie definitely took our breath away when she put her gown on!  The wedding palette of navy, white, and neutral suited them perfectly.
